Natural Breast Enhancement with Fat Transfer

Similar to synthetic dermal fillers, your own body fat can be removed from an area you don't need it and reinjected into an area where you do. How It Works

Fat transfers can be performed in conjunction with Vaser^® LipoSelection and Vaser^® Hi-Def™ LipoSculpture from most areas of the body. Both the donor site (area from which fat is taken) and the recipient site (area to be treated) are anesthetized. A needle attached to a syringe is inserted onto the donor site in a location which has a thick layer of fat, such as the lower stomach, thigh or buttocks. Fat cells are aspirated or drawn into the syringe, purified and then carefully re-injected into the recipient site. The process is repeated until the desired amount of fat has been transferred ,and the area to be enhanced is adequately plumped.

One limitation for fat transfer is the need for all living cells to establish blood supply for oxygen and nutrition. In the donor site, fat cells are naturally connected to the vascular system, however when removed and reinjected, there is initially no connection with the blood system. Thus, survival of fat in the recipient site is totally dependent on neo-vascularization. Where this occurs, transferred fat cells thrive. When recipient site neo-vascularization fails to occur, the transferred fat cells deprived of oxygen and nutrients simply shrink and are absorbed away. No one can predict the percentage of transferred fat cells that will establish a vascular connection in the recipient site and continue to thrive. For this reason, it may require two or even three transfers to achieve the desired volume and results.
